PA Solidarity Project

PA Solidarity Project brings everyday Pennsylvanians together to build real political power, for ourselves and not for any party.

Our Approach

A team that wins.

Community comes first.

The relationships get built before the campaigns do. We meet neighbors at cleanups, block walks, and kitchen tables in Southwest and West Philadelphia, and that trust is what holds a campaign together when it matters.

Members lead, staff coach.

The people you'll see at city hall and on this site are members, not staff. If you've got ideas and you're willing to do the work, there's a public leadership role here with your name on it.

We pick work we can win.

We started with what everyone can see: vacant properties, trash that never gets picked up, blocks the city forgot. Visible wins first, so the bigger campaigns arrive with a track record behind them.

Who We Are

Neighbors, organizers, and partners.

PA Solidarity Project was founded by Wes Lathrop, an organizer with 22 years of community work behind him and the two-organization model of Faith in Florida to show for it. Our staff is small. Our leaders are members. And we don't build alone: our labor partners bring serious organizing experience, including a field operation that knocked 1.2 million doors in the last election cycle, and our sister organization, The Future Belongs to Us, grows the community this work stands on.

More about us

Our Impact

Philly should show up for the people who live here.

We're early, and we're building in the open. In March 2026 we brought neighbors together for a community summit in Philadelphia, sat down for member interviews, and built our first campaign from what we heard. Right now we're organizing block by block in two Southwest and West Philadelphia neighborhoods, and our first campaign on vacant properties and neighborhood conditions launches in summer 2026.

More than half the people renting in this city are stretched thin by what housing costs. Whole blocks wait years for attention that never comes. That's the work ahead, and it's why we exist.
