About the role.
Field organizers are the front door of PA Solidarity Project. You spend most of your week outside the office: knocking doors, holding one-on-ones, and turning first conversations into members who show up. You'll own a set of blocks in Southwest or West Philadelphia and know the people on them by name.
This is a job for someone who likes people more than spreadsheets, but keeps the spreadsheet current anyway.
What you'll do
- Knock doors and run block walks in Southwest and West Philadelphia
- Hold one-on-one conversations that move neighbors from interested to involved
- Recruit and prep members for actions, meetings, and public testimony
- Track your conversations and turnout so the whole team learns what works
What you bring
- You've organized before: a union drive, a tenant association, a campaign, or your own block
- You're comfortable talking to strangers and you follow up when you say you will
- You live in Philadelphia or can be in the neighborhoods most days
- Spanish is a plus, not a requirement
How to apply.
Send a resume and a short note about a time you got neighbors, coworkers, or friends to act together to careers@pasolidarity.org. No cover letter needed.
